Fast Lane Installations on behalf of a large OEM for Woolworths

The Project

A welcome addition for shoppers, fast lane self-service checkouts are becoming a familiar sight in stores across Australia.

In 2009, Woolworths engaged our customer to install 750 Fast Lane self-service checkout systems in only eight months in selected supermarkets around the country.

The Need

To ensure that the project was completed efficiently and expertly, our customer sought a partner that could manage this highly complex and high profile project. In particular, they needed confidence that its partner would meet Woolworths’ strict requirement for after hours installation by specialist senior and junior engineers with POS skill sets.

While Best I.T. Engineering’s experience in fast lane checkout installation was crucial, our stringent project management assured the customer of our superior quality delivery.

Our Solution

After fully training additional engineers within two weeks, Best I.T. engineers travelled the country to install Woolworths’ fast lane self-service checkouts between 9pm and 6am every day of the week.
